By joining the society you can help with the important preservation of Three Brothers as a real sailing boat which provides sailing experience, and the provision of a museum on the harbour side in Bridlington. Our main priority in 2012 is to repair Three Brothers so that she is fully seaworthy. The costs of the restoration will be tens of thousands of pounds, so we need more members, more donations, and more active help. This is a challenging initiative- the society is determined that Three Brothers will sail again safely.

What we are doing
We have lifted Three Brothers out of the harbour and had her inspected. With the expected level of restoration required we are now looking closely at the costs.

We will apply for emergency grant aid from the Fisheries Local Action Group. However, the grant, if awarded is unlikely to cover the £67,000 or so we require.

Applications to other bodies are also envisaged. But we are appealing to all members of the public who want to support the project, since even small donations will make a difference.

The Society is approaching businesses in Bridlington and encouraging them to make donations. Every business which offers over £25.00 will receive a personalised certificate to display in their office.

What we will achieve
Three Brothers has been moored in the harbour for many years now, as the oldest preserved sailing coble on the East Coast. She is a real live sailing experience since she regularly sails in Bridlington Bay.

We’re sure you also realise the importance of keeping Three Brothers alive by having her as a fully functioning sailing boat out of Bridlington.

We aim to repair Three Brothers so that she can sail again for many years to come.help us by donating to our appeal Please click to donate.
