Work to restore Three Brothers has happened.

It seemed like a impossible task to renovate Three Brothers, and then it got worse when we fully realised what a bad condition she was in. But we did it!

From Mike Wilson...

“Three Brothers is now back in the water at last. She was re-launched at high tide (14.45) on Tuesday 10th April” . Click here to see events that have happened since she was re-launched.

History of the restoration:

Message from Mike Wilson : “I have photographs of the restoration workon my blog on www.bridlington.net.
Mike gives further info for when you get on  www.bridlington.net - “Please find ‘Community Area’ on the left of the screen, and click. A grey window allows you to click on ‘Bridlington Blogs’. A new grey window opens - my blog is near the bottom of the blog list.”

November 2012:
The hull was under cover and has been stripped out. We were horrified when we saw the state she was in. Mike Wilson took this photograph as the shipwright was working on the prow. The new wood had been delivered and was ready to be fitted to the ribs.

At this stage we were still in need of further urgent  donations.

new wood is being added

February 2013:
The hull has been renovated with all the new wood fitted. Doesn’t she look fine?

April 2013:
Three Brothers was relaunched on 10th April 2013 after an extensive refit.

Donations continue to be very welcome since we are very keen that she be kept in excellent order during the coming years of sailing.
